Outfit of the day | Missguided co-ord

When I was looking for an outfit for the #BloggersBlogAwards I knew I wanted something which would see myself through from a day time event to the evening. Whilst I'm not saying this is typical day time dressing, I simply fell in love with this buckle detail cropped top and cigarette pants co-ord from Missguided and knew I had to have it. Plus the best thing with buying a co-ord outfit is I can mix and match the top and trousers for future looks.

The bloggers awards were held at the gorgeous event space at Lamberts Yard in Leeds. Which as Laura found out, also has the perfect corridor with the best light ever for a cheeky #ootd photo shoot. . I'll be posting about the awards soon so stay tuned.

Ambition Inspired #OOTD | giveaway

A casual outfit look for you all today. I think this is one of those outfits which truly shows the kinds of things I actually wear most days...well when I'm not at work anyways. Stretchy disco pants, which I don't care what anyone says in my head they go with everything I own. As you can tell by the now stretchy knees, they get a lot of wear. Maybe I should invest in a new pair aye. Teamed with a jersey t-shirt, trainers and backpack. Now a days I find myself reaching for backpacks more than I ever will a handbag. I've always been more the tom-boy kind of dressers and in school when everyone had there handbags which would just about fit a planner and a pen in (if you remember this bonus points) I choose a backpack from Freespirit (again bonus points if you remember that shop too). Now the history quiz is out the way let's chat about clothes some more..why not eh.

Honour over Gory jersey

The top is a new purchase from Honour Over Glory. This is a brand that seems to take me way back and I've been a huge fan of the brand for years. Despite been a smaller brand they have always been a popular choice for me. I remember seeing them years ago with little stalls set up at festivals and everyone going mad for them. I still have my over the knee American style football sock from them and still love them to this day. It's a clothing brand I will always feel comfortable in and a brand that actually takes me slightly back to my "youth".

I know we hear elders discussing comfort over style a hell of a lot and I must admit this is always something I've taken on board. My fashion sense is such a mix match between outfits in which I feel my wardrobe is a dressing up box, dresses and heels for nights out kind of thing and then the other side of me is always trainers, skinny jeans and tshirts. Which I always feel most comfortable in. These trainers have been one of my favorite shoe purchases this year and one of the most worn. Clearly because there practical. Although I'm not sure how this post is comparing against my recent purchase of thigh high boots.

As said backpacks defiantly seem the way forward. My new Beck & Hersey backpack from flash-price is defiantly a new favorite. It came in perfect handy for my recent weekend away in the country and will no doubt become my new work bag. I'm defiantly keeping a close eye on the bargains to come on flash-price who have just launched yesterday, plus the first 1000 people who sign up their newsletter will receive a free HACK tshirt worth £29.99 with no purchase necessary. Plus for the first 500 who purchased a pair of Urban Logik boots will recicve a free backpack, like mine! Bargain aye.

Walking in a winter wonderland

There' something about wearing wellies which I love. The flip flop like sound they make as I take clumsy strides, plodding along in my own little world. The instant cosy looking factor they add to any outfit or the simple fact it almost like a treat getting the opportunity to wear them.  Quite frankly I'm not winning style points here, but in terms of the satisfaction been able to pull on my winter wellies is quite comforting. On my recent trip to Ox Pasture Hall, I took along a whopping 5 pairs of shoes for one night, although in all honesty I felt most at home walking through the country fields in my wolly hat, winter scar and the simplest of all footwear. As darkness fell and the lights from the hotel beamed across the distance lighting up the misty fog of the nights sky was weirdly comforting. It was such the getaway I needed and there's something so simplicit about a peaceful walk which we can all find our own comfort in.

#ootd Rare London White Quilted Shift Dress

Autumn fashion can be a little tricky, once you've picked out a winter coat and some boots to see you through the next few months, styling up the rest of your wardrobe into something practical can be a little tricky.

There's often no need to buy a new wardrobe for autumn when it's pretty easy to style up some more versatile pieces ready for the chillier months.

I love this quilted shift dress* by Rare London, It's perfect for a night out, with some killer heels and can be easily styled up for a more casual look for the autumn months.

With the simple addition of the classic leather jacket, a woolly hat and some thick tights it's pretty simple to transform wardrobe pieces and make them suitable for all occasions.

I'm so in love with this dress, it's the perfect and fitted with a classy look yet versatile for all weather. It's fits nice and the material is thick enough to embrace winter. The dress is a uk size 8 and fit's perfectly if not even a little loose but skims my hips nicely, it's pretty much the perfect fit me.

Twist and Shout | OOTD

Woohooo it's the bank holiday, this means one thing...time for a BBQ! Thank god the sun has finally made an appearance. How bad has the rain been Friday and Saturday and how British am I been right now, complaining about the weather.

I thought I would share a quick few snaps of my new favourite ASOS dress which I wore last night for my cousins wedding and I thought I'd check your verdict on the new lilacy toned hair. I was actually convinced for a while the lilac colour hadn't come out at all but looking at myself in picture form (vainest sentence ever) It clearly has.

P.S The little blurs in the photos are a result of me been lazy and not cleaning my camera.

Dress: ASOS (recently bought this week although I can no longer find it so similar here)
I found it...It's here!
Shoes: Office (old)

Hope your all enjoying the bank holiday

This town ain't big enough ft Dresslily.com

Dress: Dress Lily *
Cardigan: Primark (old)

So recently I discovered Dress-Lily a Korean based fashion website with quite frankly amazing prices. I'm usually a little sceptical about ordering from these websites as it's usually a bit hit and miss when it comes to what size to order.  I ordered this gorgeous dress in a size medium. As all the measurements and size guides are on the website it made ordering a lot easier instead of my usual guessing method. I will admit though for about a 3 days I was in a little huff that the dress didn't fit until I realised there was a zip on the side on day 4.

I love the colour of dress and it's the perfect length for work or as I prefer taking a cheeky day of and enjoying cocktails. The dress is actually a perfect fit (I'm typically a UK size 10) and the material is good quality and flows nicely. Considering the amazing bargains to be had on this website I'm stocking up on dresses for the summer. The postage can take a little while but isn't it fab when you forget all about it then the postman brings you some goodies?

I also thought I'd share with you a rather cool little bar I've found recently 51% bourbon.Hidden away on Hirst Yard this is such a little gem. Selling obviously bourbon the bar is set out like a scene from a western film, with a fairy light log fire (fairy lights are clearly in all western films I tell you) cask barrel tables, brick walls and exposed wooden beans running through the roof it's such a little gem.

Midnight queen

Top - Topshop
Jacket - (old)
Necklace - eBay
Shoes - Topshop
Shorts - Asos
Bow headband - Miss Selfridge (old) Similar

I always say my wardrobe feels more to me like a little dressing up box, as I don't have a certain style. Although recently I've been a little more confident with outfit posts so hopefully you will see a bit of me in a each post. You will see I don't stick to one sense of style at all but what I do like is making all my outfits feel a little fun. For a lot of people wearing a rather large bow in their hair may make them feel a little silly but for me things like these are more like a little comfort blanket as they show my personality.

I never really took the the velvet trend when it first appeared on the high street but I am in love with these shorts now. Teamed up with some black tights they will be perfect and cosy for the winter season. The leather jacket is something everyone must own and after I threw it on I did then realise the arms were covered in mud from Leeds Festival. Bit awkward since I was heading of to the 2nd event of Leeds Fashion Week so I then spent a good 10 minuets trying to face wipe my jacket down. Luckily no one noticed and if I'm honest I don't mind the mud makes the jacket seem more worn and grungy.

Verdict on the outfit?

All that's missing is the sea

Top - boohoo
Shorts - Topshop
Shoes - Topshop
Necklace - eBay

So this weekend I was a lucky little thing when I won a free cocktail making class for me and 2 friends. I'm sure it's a shock to no one that this was right up my street. Having previously worked in bars and done a fair amount of cocktail making I dived straight in and shook up some rather tasty concoctions. I even got offered a job! I have no idea what I put in my cocktails as me been let loose behind a bar to make my own drinks I was more excited then a child on Christmas (or all of the male population when GTAV came out). I think my first cocktail was Malibu, amaretto, strawberry and orange liqueur and pineapple juice, it was delicious and my own biased opinion tells me it was better than most cocktails I've tried. After this my memory is a little hazy but It's pretty likely I made something with gin or tequila (can anyone ever say tequila without going tequuuilllaa).

My outfit choice for the night was my new fav pair of tailored shorts from topshop. I was a little unsure when I ordered these but I think this is new fav outfit. I feel it kind of has a retro look to it along side the high necked cropped top. I have also got a new S necklace what's like an adorable little Scrabble letter.

P.S I would recommend trying a cocktail making class, so much fun!

Hope you all had a weekend.

Lights Camera Action

Necklace - Topshop
Top - Topshop
Jeans - Topshop
Bag - H&M
Mac Jacket - H&M (old)
Shoes - Office

Another quick outfit of the day post. This is what I wore Wednesday night to the catwalk event at the Victoria Quarter in Leeds. The show was one of the first shows part of Leeds Fashion Week. More to come on that later. Again I'm wearing my favourite necklace I think I've pretty much lived in that necklace for a while now. The cami top and jeans I picked up recently from Topshop, There's something about blue jeans that I'm loving at the moment. Now onto the shoes when I bought these I did question when will I ever wear a pair of gold shoes, but then if I can't wear them to a fashion show, when can I? The little mac jacket is pretty old now but it's still one of my favs, this reminds me I really do need to invest in a good mac jacket, there's something about them that will always remain classic.

Although this outfit won't exactly be winning any style awards, it was comfy and typically me,in fact a little part of me was tempted to go in my new pair of trainers!

In my shadow, no more compliments

Jacket - River Island (old)
Vest Top - Topshop
Star Sparkle Converse (old)
Necklace - Topshop

Although it's nice to get all dolled up and take outfit posts, I'm often found in jeans and converse. Comfortable and stylish. Everything a gal needs for a casual weekend with her friends. Although I'm forever buying clothes and more importantly high heels, the typical me is much more casual and this outfit couldn't say typical me any better. Comfortable stretchy skinny jeans and a rather loud bomber jacket to add a spot of colour. I'm also wearing my Topshop S necklace, what I will admit when I first bought this I did ponder for a few minuets seconds, if £16.50 was a little much for a necklace, but I love it, even if the S's do get tangled a little. For some reason quite a few people have commented that they wish they had a more interesting initial my mate Laura commented an L would look boring and my a few others have said similar things. I never really saw their point until I saw the letter V on sale. Obviously it looked like a spiky necklace.

I'm Batman

So I've been a little absent the past few week or so, basically the laptop broke. Did you miss me? Therefore I have a lot to catch you up on. Last weekend was my best friends 21st Birthday and we all headed over to York for a day time session. I say day time I finally got to bed at 5am! Luckily when I arrived a little late for the #LeedsBloggerMeet the next day all the girls were understanding. I think it's a little scary how they've already picked up on my going out habits. The day in York was lovely, we stated of with cocktails in Revolution (isn't it a little weird how even when you venture further a field for a night out you still end up in the same places), followed by a delicious meal in Akbars, we then headed of down to the river to soak up some sun and for a few more drinks, finally the night ended in Yatses of all places for a good old dance before catching the train back. What lead to me meeting more friends in Leeds to continue my day/night out.

Anyways I'm rambling, basically I just wanted to share with you the Batman dress I wore. The picture is far from flattering however it's the only picture with just me in it. Does anyone else feel a little rude adding photos with other people in? The dress was a Christmas present and I've only worn it twice. Despite hearing ner ner ner ner ner ner ner ner BATMAN said a total of 11 times to me that, I love the dress.
