Zaap, Thai Street food, Leeds, Review

For a long while, when I've been looking for a quick, cheap, easy place to dine with friends, a bite after work or a shopping pit stop my loyalty was true to Reds True BBQ. It seemed Leeds was lacking in a faithful place to pop in a grab an affordable lunch a cheap tea or a place for a date on a budget. I mean there is Nandos, but no foodie...or anyone looking to impress their friends really wants to eat there.

Then came a new kid on the bloc, Zaap! I say new kid this post has been sat in my drafts for 6 months, but having visited many a time since my first encounter, Zaap is now embedded in my foodie heart.

Here's why....

The place has awesome decor! Literally who would have thought leaving a few creates of fizzy pop around would become restaurant decor? Practical and very fitting to the theme. Its a seriously fun place to dine and will impress anyone who's not been. Forget your unpractical hipster bike seats for chairs, coffins for table and buckets for bowls, this place is an Aladdin's cave of practical, eye wandering character.

The food is deliciously cheap. I'm not sure deliciously is a word used to describe cheap very often but the food is affordable, well cooked and well, consistent which makes even fussy foodies like myself return time after time. Plus with dim zum for starters and ideal for sharing priced at around £3.50 per dish its a great way to push some food boundaries and try some new plates.

The starters are truly always my favourite part of the meal, with the starters ideal for sharing it effortlessly creates good vibes amongst friends, dates and the weird guy from your office you never really liked.

For main however i am loyal to my beloved king Geoffrey Thai red chicken curry at an impressive £7.50! seriously not that i would know but can you even get a Nandos for that any more? It's simply "home cooked" food at its best, no fancy frills just hearty tasty food, all yours to wash down with a beer or two. There are no faults i can ever pick here. Although be warned the spicy dishes don't just have those little "warning this dish is hot" sign next to them on the menu for no reason.

Exploring Rome - Photo Diary

So back in August myself and my best friend took a two week tour travelling train to train through the major cities of Italy. First stop was 4 nights in Rome, in which we also spent a day exploring Naples and Pompeii then onto Florence, Pisa, Venice, Verona and Milan. Since I'm months behind on blogging, I've decided to show you the trip as a photo diary.
