Holiday wardrobe wishlist

I've spent a good old amount of time the last few days, browsing holiday clothes. Despite yet to have booked a holiday. I'm thinking a city break in the next month, Rome seems to be on the cards as number one but I also wouldn't mind Paris or Copenhagen.

Since dreaming up holidays I've also been dreaming up a holiday wardrobe, from travel outfit to day wear and evening dresses. Here what's on the wish list so far:

 Travel outfit:
It's always a tricky one leaving the cold UK weather knowing you will be arriving somewhere hopefully hotter you need to get the balance. Plus there's the added factor of comfort without looking like a slob. For this I've picked some ripped jeans (not suitable for any of the things mentioned above) but they look good and I fancy some new ripped jeans. Secondly I've always had a tradition that when going away I get a new pair of trainers to travel in. The checked shirt..well I have a thing for checked items and I've been eyeing it up for weeks!

ASOS: Jeans - £32.00
Motel rocks: Shirt -  (sale) £12.00
New Balance: Trainers - £35.00

Day wear:
Day wear I don't like to go with anything too fancy, either the days are spent by the pool, in which case there's not much point splashing out on new outfits as it's mostly bikinis and throw on bits. For the more touristy sightseeing types then again it's mostly about comfort.

ARK: Celfie T-Shirt - (sale) £7.00
ARK: silk shorts - (sale) £12.00

Evening:
For me evenings on holiday are all about getting dressed up, evening if your just planning on doing nothing more than enjoying the hotel bar, it's nice to feel a little glam on your hols. I've really got a think for maxi dresses at the moment for evening wear and although not very practical at all for a night in Leeds City Centre whilst on holiday there stunning.

ASOS: Blue maxi dress - £25.00
ASOS: Paper Doll dress - £58.00
ASOS: One sleeve maxi dress - £35.00

Birthday wishlist

So it seems like forever since I've posted. I'm sure it's not just me but all bloggers who get a little edgy when they haven't posted in a while. I'm going to say I've had good reason although one is that I've been living it up over the bank holiday a little too much, the 2nd is I've been I'll since Monday and yesterday the doctors confirmed I've got a kidney infection.

So although my 23rd birthday on Sunday is now not something I'm looking forward too at least I can still wish for a few goodies to make the day a little better.  Although If I'm honest the main thing I want is to feel better. The doctors did warn me, I may be put on a drip if I don't perk up soon and although been admitted to hospital when the party's over can be somewhat rock and roll, spending the day there doesn't appeal to me so much (look at me moaning).

Anyhow there some amazing blogger events coming up over the next few weeks I don't want to say too much about them now but I'm very very giddy for one in particular. So at least I can promise some exciting posts coming in the next few weeks.

Frozen on DVD - £15.00 ASDA direct
Do you wanna build a snowman?
Errmm yes! But what I really want is to curl up on the sofa and watch Frozen! Since I'm trying to save for a few summer holidays a few nights in are needed and what better way then with a Disney DVD. I'm such a massive child at heart still and I love my Disney films. I did think Disney films took a big down hill turn a few years back but they seem to be back and more popular than ever recently. I always find it adorable how no one ever seems to grow out if Disney, c'mon admit it, hands up if you cried at Up?

Jimmy Choo Flash 40ml - £23.80 Click Fragrance
I love perfume. Perfume is always on my birthday, Christmas list and the additional unwritten list of any friend who is passing duty free. As much as my favourite is Dior Addict it not really a summer scent. The two scents I've been loving for the summer are Jimmy Choo Flash and the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight edition. When I saw this amazing deal on Jimmy Choo on Click Fragrance I knew this was of straight to the top of my list.

Nike Internationalist trainers - £67.00 JD sports
Shoes. Obvious choice for me. I've been loving trainers for a while and when I saw these I squealed a little. I love the red and blue colours and I will obviously wear these with everything. Right?

P.S Obviously your all dying to know when my birthday is.. Its Sunday 11th May (everyone scrambles for a pen to mark the date on their calendars)

Hope your all well.

Also since I can't keep a secret some of the events you can keep your eyes peeled for feature "bloggers on a boat" party and a exclusive bowling match between 2 well known (one I've loved for years) Leeds bands.

Wishlist | Christmas list |

So it's now officially December and to be honest I still can't believe it. I hate to be a Grinch but this year I don't feel festive at all. Having a total of 4 work Christmas do's pencilled in the diary (due to starting my new job next Monday), participating in 2 secret Santa's and a whole bunch of shopping to do I still can't quite believe Christmas is coming.

My mum has been asking me for weeks what I want for Christmas and I've barley given it any thought. Although I have asked Santa for a new camera. I think it is a sign of growing up as up until ...so many.. years ago I would be sat circling the entire Argos catalogue greedily picking out presents. Although I still hold grudges about not getting that Mr Frosty and question just why Santa couldn't fit that drum kit down the chimney, Christmas means a lot more now in some ways then it did when I was a child.

I personally love the whole build up to Christmas, the festive nights out, enjoying buying gifts for other people and even the smell of the Christmas tree. Christmas day is now more about enjoying good food, the get together of family and friends and of course the squabbles over board games and quizzes don't go a miss. (To all family members reading this, dad is on my team in any family Christmas board or quiz game)

In contrast the above statements and "not wanting anything" I've manages to put together a little list of Christmas goodies, that might be able to find there way under my Christmas tree this year.

Audrey Hepburn DVD Collection: Amazon
Since buying the Marilyn Monroe DVD collection, I've been intrigued by old movies. I'm fascinated watching them. The Audrey Hepburn collection will be a perfect addition to my DVD collection.

Chase Marmalade Vodka: Harvey Nichols
Not the typical Christmas drink but for me this drink reminds me of Christmas. I've no idea why. I love unique drinks and since I discovered this a few years back it's been my Christmas drink of choice.

Snow Fairy Shower Gel - Lush
No Christmas wishlist would be complete without a little treat from lush.

Wonderland Dusty Pink & Gold Watch - Olivia Burton
Ever since I treated myself to my Daniel Wellington watch earlier this year, I've been lusting over more watches ever since. I never used to wear watches but I'm since converted. This Olivia Burton watch is girly yet elegant and classic and is very affordable in comparison to other good quality watches.

Best Of Benefit - Benefit
I normally always end up buying the benefit gift sets for my mum or my sister. Each year the Christmas range seems to get more adorable and this year is no exception.

Dior Addict Eau De Parfum - Dior
Christmas wouldn't be complete with some perfume. Although my fragrance of choice this year isn't a cheap one it's always nice to have your favourite fragrance for special occasions.

What's on your Christmas list?

Work wardrobe wishlist

So for all of those who don't know this week my typical same old same old Monday at work was brightened up somewhat when I found out I got the new job I applied for. I'm excited for many reasons firstly the new job is more pennies (or as I prefer to think more shoes tokens) , secondly I'm back located in the city centre of Leeds (coincidently at my old office before my current department was relocated) and finally it's a job where I can dress like I'm actually going to work.

The third statement may seem a little bizarre to some people who always dress there best 9-5 however as my current job is not public facing it allows me to rock up pretty casually which today included skinny jeans my best band t-shirt and a pair of Nike blazers. I don't think my new employer would be very impressed by my rather trendy yet casual get up. Yet weirdly enough I'm actually looking forward to getting up each morning putting together smart outfits and heading of to work with pride. I think also the thought of working back in the busy city centre will finally motivate me to take notice of my work appearance. I'm not saying I currently dress like a tramp for work but knowing other than facing the my work colleagues I see every day or the stray dog that lurks outside the office, there's no one to dress smartly for.

So I thought I'd share with you my new work wardrobe wish-list (tongue twister or what). Surprisingly looking through all the smart fitting shirts and tailored trousers is actually taking over my shoe obsession at the moment. In contrast to the type of look I'm currently sporting for work I hate it when people pick up things and go "that will do for work". You spend most of your days at work so why not try to look your best.

Anyway onto the wishlist. I was hoping to put together a collage and play around editing looks onto mood boards etc (my god that sounds sad) but technology is failing me.

T M Lewin - Fitted white spot dobby shirt - £34.95

Not to start the list of with the most boring item going a plain white collar shirt but it is kind of a classic work staple to own. I think we can underestimate that when a plain shirt fits well it will always remain looking classy and sophisticated.

eBay - Statement necklace - £3.09

Not to seem too dull with my white shirt choice. I've been making note of statement accessories too. eBay always have cheap statement necklaces what you can pick up for under £5.

ASOS - Shirt with grandad collar and pintuck bib - £32.00

Back to shirts. I really haven't much of clue why I like this shirt so much. I'm torn between it looking dorky and classy, not a combination that ever come to mind so I think that's why I love it so much.

Boohoo - Jasmine crop monochrome aztec jacket - £20

Moving away from shirts. As its is Winter and although I have no official start date through at the moment in door jackets are always nice to have. I am a rather cold person, as my grandma use to regularly say me; I have blood like chip shop vinegar. I've no idea what this saying actually means but either way I want to beat the chill in style.

ASOS - High waisted trousers with seam detail - £25.00

Trousers are always easy to wear and ASOS have a great selection at the moment. When I think of black trousers I have a dreaded flash back to school trousers. I always wear skinny jeans and leggings so tailored skinny fitted trousers are far more my style yet appropriate and stylish.

Boohoo - Chloe Dogtooth Pointed mid heels - £15.00

I was going to avoid featuring shoes as my monthly shoe wish list will be up soon.Yet I came across these and gasped, then gasped again when I saw they were a mere £15.00!!

Ark - Tartan tunic dress - £26.99

I've had my eye on this dress fora while and wanted to buy it for the day of the interview but didn't have time. The dress looks ideal for wearing with black tights and a stylish coat for work but also trendy (it's really hard to say the word trendy in my head without sounding like the most uncool person ever) enough for a casual weekend.

Next - Gold eau de parfum 75ml £12
Finally yes I'm including perfume and when you rush to next to pick this up you will thank me.

I think we're all guilty of buying the cheap on offer perfumes (usually brought out by a c-list celebrity or ex pop star) what typically end up smelling like something I created from my nana's garden roses as a child. So when we realise they don't smell too great we simply use the fragrance for work. I know the majority of us don't like splashing out on expensive perfumes for work. So when my mum came home a few days ago raving about the bottle of perfume she came across in next it reminded me there's often some brilliant in expensive fragrances that get over looked. Gold is pretty new to next and it's such a brilliant elegant musky type perfume.I have really no idea how to describe perfume to you but two of my all time favourite fragrances are Dior Addict and Paco Rabanne Lady Million and this is kind of a similar scent to the two except at a bargain price.

Monthly Shoe Wishlist

Top left:
Nike Dual Fusion TR
JD Sports - £60.00
I've loved the trainers meets fashion trend for a while now and the trainers I own are more edging towards fashion then they are useful. It was refreshing to come across a pair of trainers that are practical enough for running in (well making me start again) and yet look amazing. I love the mix of pastel and bright colours here and lets be honest nothing beats the comfort of trainers. Until recently I'd not worn trainers in many years and what can I say I'm hooked. Who knows these even look like they might get me doing actual exercise.

Top right:
Red or Dead, grace fleexe ii Boots
Schuh - £90
Many many years ago I bought the most adorable pair of red, Red or Dead slouchy ankle boots in college. They aren't the cheapest boots and I remember walking past Schuh everyday after college or during my lunch break gazing at them until I saved up enough money to buy them. I loved them till they were torn and tattered and in the end my mum binned them! A good few months back I bought the same pair but in a tan colour. They're the easiest things to throw on, there super comfortable and are now looking very loved. Since I own a lot of shoes as you can imagine not many get worn out and often I don't always love what I buy. Yet I know these will most likely be worn until there death and with the addition of a chunkier sole (I will need this) and fleece lining, I can't help but feel I need these before I have no soles left on my current pair.

Bottom left:
Black double strap high leg riding boots
New Look - £39.99
When I recently attended an event at The Body Shop I couldn't help but noticing the make up artist wearing the classiest on trend pair of boots. I did spend a little too long gazing at her boots practically sure they must of been from some top end designer boutique. I was almost sure they looked like Alexander Mcqueen or Burberry. Since it wasn't appropriate to yell out "where are your shoes from" during the Q&A section at the end, I cheekily asked her at the end. I'm not sure if I was delighted or gob-smacked they was in actual fact from New Look. The pictures online don't really do the boots justice at all but I can't assure you they look classy, elegant and would be a perfect addition to any work wear wardrobe.

Bottom right:
Ribbon trang tartan heels
Bank Fashion - £35.00
Tartan has been floating around the fashion sphere for a while now, or if you have a bit more rock chick in you then most, you will of always loved tartan and the cool punk vibe it gives. I instantly saw these and fell in love. As I'm trying to be a smarter shopper I do have a few doubts about these. They don't look out there enough for a night out, yet they look a bit too out there for day wear, so at the moment these remain sat on the self. Although they are very suited to my own personal style until I can dream up the perfect outfit to go with (smart shopping out the window) these unfortunately will remain on the WISHlist.

What are your favourites this month?

Monthly shoe wishlist

I've been itching to write this post for so long now, after I missed an August monthly shoe wishlist. After Leeds festival the pennies were limited and there was no point teasing myself. With autumn/winter on the way this shoe list is aimed at been practical and comfortable.

Top left:
Nike blazer mid trainers - £70.00 Schuh
I've developed a massive trainer crush the past few months and it's seemed impossible to find pairs I like in my size. Although Nike Blazers are rather common now, I can't deny I love them. They looks stylish yet conformable and since I've not worn in trainers in years, these are going to the top of my wishlist.

Top Right
White low top converse - £45.00 JDSports
Amongst my somewhat large shoe collection, my oldest and most worn pair of shoes will always be my Converse. Although my white converse are now black and looking very tattered I still don't have the heart to ever throw them away, or stop wearing them. I've been wearing Converse since my high school days and they will always remain somewhat timeless and classic. The price of converse seems to of gone up a lot since I remember buying my first pair but at least I can safely say these will be worn and will not remain unloved in the box.

Bottom left:
Dr Martens - £100 Topshop
I was somewhat grudged when I stumbled upon Dr Martens online at Topshop. Dr Martens for me will always have an icon feel associated with the grunge/rock scene and for me they do not belong in Topshop. Either way it doesn't stop me wanting a pair. Although I will disclaim I've wanted a pair for a long time before Topshop jumped on the bandwagon. In fact one of my first pair of shoes was Dr Martens (according to my mum they was the only shoes I didn't wear out within a few days). Now autumn/winter is coming it feels a more appropriate time to invest in a pair again.

Bottom Right:
Jeffrey Campbell 99 tie suede boots.
I need to add a little luxury to the wishlist and you all know I like my Jeffrey Campbell's.These boots seem very practical in comparison to my other JC's and I can imagine wearing these to work daily. Although there proving very hard to track down a pair at the moment with them been from a previous JC collection.

Monthly Shoe Wishlist

Nia

Babycham - Nia Wedges £55
I don't really own any wedges and the summer weather recently has made me lust after one or two pair. Most of the wedges I find seem to be more day wear however this pair would great dressed up or down. I also like the quirky retro 50s look of Babycham shoes .

necker red
Gandys Flip Flops £19.99
I can't lie, I'm sure for all you regular readers you will be aware I was sold purely by the name of these flip flops alone. I know I could pick a pair up in Primark for £1 however Gandys are and ethical brand what supports the charity orphans or orphans. These are going to the top of my holiday wish list.

Blowfish Banu Sandals £40
Again with the recent heatwave it made me aware my show collection isn't very summer friendly. Therefore I have been searching for a pair that can be versatile and these look simple enough for classy day wear yet they look classic enough to be dressed up for a summer evening.

Image 1 of ASOS TRACE Wedge Shoe Boots
ASOS - Trace Wedge Shoe Boots - £60
I love the perspex wedge and the cut out details on these shoes. They seem edgy yet practical enough for daily wear, however I like the idea of clashing these with a pretty floaty dress for a more grungy look.

What are your favourite pair in the wishlist?

Monthly Shoe Wishlist

Since I went a little overboard last month and bought a total of 11 pairs of shoes I am keeping this wishlist small. Although 3 pairs of shoes is probably still quite a lot to buy in one month. For me it will be a hard promise to keep. Therefore with this wishlist I'm going for quality over quantity.

So these heels are quite expensive but I feel this can be justified as there Dr Marten. It's the most hard wearing shoe brand out there in my eyes and known for quality. I really can't believe it took me this long to discover they make heels! I've been lusting over this pair for weeks now and after the trauma of a taxi driver stealing my favourite pair of shoes Friday, I kind of already ordered them. Bizarrely enough as I was typing this the post man arrived with them. There gorgeous! The post man did seem a little confused when my mum was yelling if there shoes don't give her them.

New Balance Trainers
I really am wishing for this item as I have been searching for a few months now for a pair of New Balance trainers in my size. I'm a size 5 by the way. It seems there like gold dust at the moment and sold out everywhere. A pair of nice trainers isn't something I currently own and my shoe collection is crying out for them. I think I might settle for a pair of classic Nike Cortez instead although there also proving a little hard to track down in my size.

Vivienne Westwood Melissa
I've been wanting a pair of Melissa shoes for years and there are currently some amazing styles out at the moment. It's been really hard to pick out my favourite pair but I love the chain ankle bracelet straps on these shoes. I've also been eyeing up the little booties as there currently in the sale and I can see them been pretty practical if we get snow again this year. I'm still not sure I could justify the price tag of these so I might have to wait for a sale.

Shoe wish list

I tried creating weekly wishlists some time back but I never really kept up to it. I'm always browsing the internet wishing for things and I'm never really stuck for ideas on what to buy. However my guilt pleasure really lies in shoes. So from now on I aim to product monthly shoe wish lists.

Tan kickers: I would love to link you to a pair but I'v been constantly watching these on eBay for a few months now either missing the listings or been out bid etc.

I love the idea of owning a pair of Kickers again as these take me right back to my primary school childhood days.

Hunter ORIGINAL TALL GLOSS Black / Verne
Hunter Wellies £78.99 Spartoo
I'm pretty sure these was on my old wishlist. I am still to purchase a pair! I think with the festivals coming around soon I will defiantly be getting around to making a purchase.

Havaianas flip-flop  £20 Schuh
Having walked around most of today in flip flips I forgot how comfortable they could be. Therefore these are heading straight to the top of the wishlist.

Tan Loafers £58 Office
I have no idea yet what I would wear these with but I really want a pair of leather loafers. I think these are more of a buy now think about later purchase. On the plus side they are very practical what usually can't be said for my shoe purchases.

I really could sit wishing for shoes all day and make this page a mile long but for now I want to keep it reasonable and even possibly affordable.

Wishlist

It feels like forever since i'v done a wishlist and i don't actually feel like much has caught my eye recently. I guess now i'm starting to plan for summer i'm looking to spend money on  doing things and going places rather then on clothes and beauty etc. I also seem to have massive list of gigs i want to go to and Wednesday morning i was lucky enough to get ticket's to see Ben Howard at Blackpool in June, what has made me happier than ever.
I thought i'd try and keep my wishlist in line with my summer plans.

:

I have been looking for a dress suitable for a day at the races when i came across this little bargain on ASOS. Although wearing cream i do have a slight fear i will spill something on.

ASOS lace skater dress was £50 now £25

:

Raybans! What summer would be complete without a pair. I had a pair on one of my previous wishlists but i haven't been able to find that pair since, however i love the class black.

ASOS £125

No festival would be complete without Hunter Wellies, however it was super hard deciding what colour i wanted.
I decided on the:

A batman T-shirts what's not to love here!!

Head to Toe Wishlist:

Buy Ray-Ban Unisex Original Wayfarer Sunglasses Online at johnlewis.com
I love the unique print on these sunglasses and they defiantly stand out, I think with these i'm looking forward to festival season a little too early.
This looks perfect for when the summer comes and since i never got round to buying an army jacket last year i'm very happy the fashion will be around this summer, I have a weakness for buying jackets, so i'm not sure how long i can resist this.

:

Since i'v been living in leggings and jeans for the past year i'v recently discovered wearing trousers again. When i saw these they look very practical and a steal at £15.

I'v posted about brightly colored court shoes like these on a previous post and wasn't sure how often i would wear them. Then i came across these! These look so fun for the summer and what a steal at £14.99!!

Week to go till payday wishlist.

Ark Red & Black Ava Leather & Fur Jacket

So payday will finally be coming around the corner and iv been eyeing up a few things. I seem to have a weakness for jackets and when i saw this reduced in arc to £30 iv been counting down the days to payday to buy :
Arc red & black Ava leather & fur jacket, Reduced £49.99  £30

I have never been a fan of dresses on nights out and will always opt for shorts or leggings 90% of the time. When i saw this playsuit from Motel i fell a little in love. It looks very sophisticated a something different to what i would normally wear.
Falling in love with this item so much means one thing for me: it probably won't fit me and i will look no wear near as good as the model in this picture, but i can dream.
Motel jet plunge neck playsuit in black: £48

You might now be sat saying "Sam i'm sure on your last wishlist post you vowed you would be more practical, that playsuit doesn't seem too practical"
Thanks for that, i sure did. That's were these vans fit in. I saw these and they look super cute, super comfy and perfect for when spring comes.
Vans Slip on lo pro shoes £47

Image of Whole Lotta Rosie Headband - Black
I keep seeing these when i'm staking other peoples blogs. These look amazing, i was a bit indecisive about what colour i liked best but in the end i went for black. This will also be perfect for the festivals.
Crown and Glory - Whole Lotta Rosie Headband - £20

My 1st wishlist

My first wishlist: hope you all like, all comments welcome.

I don't know about you guys but i'm defiantly still feeling the pinch after Christmas! The January blues and empty pockets spilling into February so i'v decided to think more carefully about what i buy.

As soon as i saw the monochrome skinny jeans they jumped out of the page and i need these!! To a lot of people these may seen a little bold but there so me! Is is strange i feel my most comfortable in such statement clothing?

Secondly since purchasing my mid length dress (picture on my blog recently) i'm converted to all mid length items. I really didn't think the dress would suit me but i'm hooked, so i'm stepping things up with this skirt.

This brings me onto the shoes, i'v always been a fan of high-high heels and the bigger the better, been only 5ft2 there more of a necessity in my life (or at least that's what i tell myself every time i buy a pair) so i'v never given any small heels a chance. Until now.
I'm not sure whats made me want a pair of low pointed heels but there stuck in my head, perhaps id wear these with a pair of boyfriend jeans or dungarees. I'm quite excited to see this fashion trend progress this year, outfit suggestions for these welcome.

The red beanie hat is more a necessity since its been pretty chilly. This winters also made me realise i don't own a hat! Maybe the hat would look pretty good with the shoes in a street style kind of way?

Vintage Jumper..need i say any more. I'm a massive fan and often finding vintage items is a pain, takes time and lots of outbidding on ebay. So i'm thrilled Arc have launched there own vintage section.
